The girls played 3 matches as follows :

Monaleen 2 Bruff 2

Monaleen started the stronger and sustained pressure from Aine Doyle and Claire Kelly in midfield kept Bruff on the back foot. Sarah Costelloe and Aoife O' Driscoll were unlucky not to score and Claire Kelly opened the scoring for Monaleen after 4 minutes with a well taken shot from distance.

Bruff then came into the game and it took good defensive play from Eilis Wiley and three great saves from Kerry O' Donoghoe in the Monaleen goal to keep Bruff out. However the pressure told and Bruff scored two minutes before half time.

Following the puckout Claire Kelly swept through midfield and passed to Ruth Heavey whose shot was saved by the Bruff goalkeeper but Robyn McDonnell was on hand to hammer the ball home. 2-1 to Monaleen at the half time break.

The second half was evenly matched with both sides having chances to score. Robyn McDonnell in the Monaleen goal made two great saves and the Monaleen midfield of Katie Golden and Ruth Heavey kept the pressure on Bruff. It seemed like the half would remain scoreless but with a minute to go Bruff broke down the right and scored with an excellent shot. The match finished up level at two goals apiece.

Monaleen 4 Patrickswell 2

Monaleen started brightly with Claire Kelly and Robyn McDonnell dominating midfield and Eimear Condon rock solid in defence. Following a great solo run and cross by Claire Kelly in the fourth minute Aoife O'Driscoll's shot was narrowly wide. Following good defensive work by Ruth Heavey the ball was cleared by Kerry O'Donoghoe to Sarah Costelloe whose pass found Aoife O'Driscoll who struck the opening goal for Monaleen after five minutes. The resulting puck out was won in midfield by Claire Kelly. Her long range shot was blocked by the Patrickswell defence but Aoife O'Driscoll pounced to score her second goal inside a minute.

Patrickswell now upped their game but Aine Doyle in the Monaleen goal kept them out with two fine saves. Good tackling by Monaleen defenders Eimear Condon and Ruth Heavey led to the ball being cleared up the field to Eilis Wiley who scored with a great shot just before half time.3-0 to Monaleen at the break.

The second half saw Monaleen on the defensive for long stretches with Patrickswell getting stronger as the half progressed. Eventually the pressure told and P'well scored twice in quick succession with four minutes remaining. In the last minute a well struck clearance from defence by Ruth Heavey flew all the way into the P'well goal to leave the score at the end 4-2 in Monaleen's favour.

Monaleen 2 Adare 4

Adare began strongly but Monaleen gradually came into the match with very committed tackling from the midfield of Eilis Wiley, Robyn McDonnell and Kerry O'Donoghoe. Claire Kelly was powerful in defence and was ably supported by Katie Golden and Eimear Condon. A period of sustained pressure by Adare led to them getting the opening goal of the match . A second goal for Adare followed almost immediately following a defensive mix up. The first half finished with a great save by the Adare goalkeeper from a strong Ruth Heavey shot following a good run up the right wing by Aine Doyle. 2 –0 to Adare at the break.

Monaleen opened the second half strongly with Aoife O'Driscoll and Ruth Heavey contesting midfield and with good support play by Katie Golden and Aine Doyle. Claire Kelly broke from the back and was unlucky not to score. A shot by Kerry O'Donoghoe was just wide. However Adare began to dominate again and they scored two good goals. 4-0 to Adare. Monaleen did not give up and good pressure from Eilis Wiley led to a goal from Ruth Heavey. Following more Adare pressure Eimear Condon cleared the ball out of defence. It was added to by Robyn McDonnell and finished to the net by Ruth Heavey. The match finished 4-2 to Adare after a great effort by Monaleen.
