Monaleen Juvenile GAA Club

We played our final group game in the U12C Hurling League on Saturday May 17th. We started well and after conceding an early goal we got back on level terms with a cracker from corner-forward Niall Sheehan after a good pass from Patrick Humphries. However then we slackened off for a period and let Na Piarsaigh get on top to see them leading at the break by 3-2 to 1-0.

In the second half we turned in a much better display and driven on by some strong play from Eoghan Whittle, Domhnall Dooley and by man-of the-match Cian Hession we came right back into it with goals from Dara Crehan and Darragh Murphy. However we then conceded a soft goal against the run of play and Na Piarsaigh pulled away to win by 5-3 to 3-1

This was a good display from a young team of whom 14 are under-age for this grade next year.
